A Devastating Viking Performance
If there really is an international world of Aussie Rules, then the Denmark-Sweden Vikings rocked it with a victory of staggering proportions against the Great Britain-Ireland Lions in the year 2000 version of their annual international clash.
For the first time in any DAFL match, a side was held goalless. The Lions' 0.3(3) also became the lowest score in any DAFL match (previous record: Helsingborg 1.1(7) against North Copenhagen 24.31(175) in Round 12, 1995). And 43.0 is by a long way the highest proportion of an opponent's score ever (previous record: 27.15 by Amager against Helsingborg in that match).
There is (disappointingly) no DAFL report of the match, but BARFL have some very good coverage with this report and some photos.
